SAM WRIGHT

Sam Wright is the founding director of Straight Lines Consultancy. Sam has 20 years of experience in the administration of ASX listed companies, corporate governance and corporate finance. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and the Governance Institute of Australia.    
 
Sam is currently a director of ASX listed companies; Great Dirt Resources Ltd, Reach Resources Ltd and Structural Monitoring Systems Plc.  
 
Mr Wright is currently Company Secretary for ASX and London Stock Exchange dual listed company, Resolute Mining Ltd as well as ASX and Börse Frankfurt dual listed company, Buxton Resources Ltd.  
 
Sam has also filled the role of Director and Company Secretary with companies in Australia, North America and the United Kingdom.    
 
Sam has extensive experience in relation to public company responsibilities, including ASX and ASIC compliance, control and implementation of corporate governance, statutory financial reporting, merger and acquisition transactions, IPO listings and shareholder relations with both retail and institutional investors.

GARY ELWELL

Gary has 25 years experience in senior accounting roles with ASX listed companies and is currently CFO for Alvo Minerals Ltd, Aruma Resources Ltd, Buxton Resources Ltd, Strategic Elements Ltd and Structural Monitoring Systems plc.

He previously held positions with Canyon Resources Ltd, Crusader Resources Ltd, LifeCare Health Ltd, Nexus Minerals Ltd, Quadrant Iridium Ltd and Transaction Solutions International Ltd.

Gary has extensive experience in IPO, mergers, acquisitions, backdoor listings, audit, ASX reporting and financial reporting. Gary graduated in economics from the University of Northumbria in the UK. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Institute of Public Accountants.

TIM WHYTE

Tim Whyte is a Chartered Accountant and currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management at the Governance Institute of Australia. Tim has over 15 years of corporate finance experience including several years in EY’s Audit and Transactions divisions. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia & New Zealand and has expertise working across several industries, including food, agriculture, manufacturing, mining and oil & gas.

Tim has extensive experience in the UK natural resources sector including Group Finance positions with Anglo American Plc and Ophir Energy Plc. Tim was CFO of ASX listed company Wide Open Agriculture Ltd, where he oversaw the growth in the business from $15 million to $150 million market capitalisation. Tim is currently the Company Secretary for ASX and LSE dual listed company, Resolute Mining Ltd, CFO of public unlisted company Universal Biosecurity Ltd, SeaStock Pty Ltd and Company Secretary of Geraldton Fuel Company Pty Ltd.

THOMAS MAY

Thomas May is an accomplished finance professional with experience in corporate governance and financial management. He currently serves as the Company Secretary for ASX listed mining services company, Dynamic Group Holdings (ASX:DDB) as well as wholesale Australian Financial Services Licensed firm, Liquidity and unlisted public company, Advanced Transmission Holdings Limited. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting from The University of Western Australia, and a governance qualification from the Governance Institute of Australia.

With a strong background in accounting including experience at PwC, Thomas is dedicated to ensuring administrative efficiency and regulatory compliance. His role is crucial in upholding corporate governance standards, contributing substantial value to his teams. Additionally, Thomas has experience in equities, where he has been involved in managing books for financial activities such as placements, initial public offerings (IPOs), seed capital, and debt funding. His diverse skill set and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to the organizations he serves.

JOHN WRIGHT

John Wright is a specialist in local government financial sustainability and governance. John has provided hands-on assistance to a wide range of councils in various States and the Northern Territory, particularly rural and remote Councils.

He also has assisted the National Treasury of South Africa and the Indonesian Ministry of Finance in implementing local government financial reforms and training in those countries. 

John has particular expertise in long-term financial planning, budgeting, treasury management and establishing financial and asset management policies and strategies. John is a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants.
